2 min readThe first-ever Daisy Chain Fields Festival had its fair share of starry attendees.
Olivia Rodrigo’s charitable music event in Irvine, California—which will donate 100 percent of its net proceeds to 10 different women and girls’ empowerment nonprofit organizations—saw performances from the likes of Chappell Roan, Doechii, Bikini Kill, and, of course, Rodrigo herself. Billed special guests Stevie Nicks and Sarah McLachlan also sang duets with Rodrigo onstage. Festival goers were treated to a few other surprises and celebrity appearances throughout the day.
Ahead, we rounded up every star who attended the inaugural Daisy Chain Fields.
Melinda French Gates
The philanthropist joined Rodrigo onstage to announce that she would be matching Daisy Chain Fields’s donation, bringing the grand total to $20 million.
Drew Barrymore
The talk show host and actor was seen at an activation for the National Domestic Workers Alliance, where she spoke about the impact of the festival. “I think Olivia Rodrigo is teaching us how to care today in ways that’s so profound to me as a woman and a mother with my daughters here,” Barrymore said.
Katseye
Katseye members Lara Raj, Megan, and Yoonchae made a surprise appearance onstage after pulling out of Daisy Chain Fields at the last minute due to Megan spraining her ankle.
Alanis Morissette
Morissette, who replaced Karen O as a special guest, made a surprise appearance onstage with Rodrigo. The two performed a duet of Morisette’s 1995 song, “Ironic.”
Melissa Auf der Maur
The former Hole member spoke to Marie Claire about attending Daisy Chain Fields.
“My 15-year-old daughter loves Olivia Rodrigo, loves the whole movement that is happening at this moment and the power of women while also understanding that women’s rights are more threatened than they ever have bene in my lifetime,” she said. “So we came together from the east coast to come to Daisy Chain Fields to participate in the cross generational movement of mothers and daughters that are nurturing a better future.”
