Dakota Johnson is heading back to Studio 8H as the host of Saturday Night Live, closing out a packed Saturday schedule that also includes two original movie premieres, a midseason finale, live music and UFC action.

The “Verity” actress takes the SNL stage at 11:29 p.m. ET on NBC, with Turnstile booked as the musical guest. Johnson’s return is the final major broadcast event on the lineup for Saturday, October 3, 2026.

Earlier in the evening, Julie Gonzalo leads Hallmark Channel’s A Knight to Remember, while Crossroad Springs reaches its midseason break on Great American Family. Viewers can also choose between a Lifetime thriller and the cable arrival of Evil Dead Burn during a crowded 8 p.m. time slot.

Music and Live Sports Start the Day

Saturday’s viewing begins at 4:15 p.m. ET with Day 2 of the three-day Austin City Limits Music Festival on Disney+ and Hulu. The scheduled performers include Lorde, Bleachers, Lykke Li and Rüfüs Du Sol, among others.

At 7:30 p.m. ET, CBS and Paramount+ carry UFC 332: Silva vs. Wang. Natalia Silva faces Wang Cong in the event, which will air live from the Delta Center in Salt Lake City.

Four Options Arrive at 8 p.m.

Hallmark Channel’s A Knight to Remember premieres at 8 p.m. ET. Gonzalo plays a museum conservator whose kiss accidentally revives a knight who has been gone for centuries. James Trevena plays the newly awakened knight, with Chris McNally also co-starring.

Lifetime enters the same time slot with the movie premiere of A Doctor to Die For: The Sarah Harris Story. Siobhan Williams stars as a young woman who becomes involved in a dangerous relationship with a middle-aged surgeon, played by Luke Macfarlane. The surgeon secretly provides her with drugs, and after tragedy strikes, the woman’s mother and sister begin investigating.

Meanwhile, Crossroad Springs airs its midseason finale on Great American Family. The episode finds the community coming together in response to a local emergency. At the same time, the Hamiltons are left concerned by delays involving permits.

Horror viewers have another choice on HBO, where Evil Dead Burn makes its cable debut. Souheila Yacoub plays a woman who, following the death of her husband, looks for comfort with her in-laws. The gathering takes a terrifying turn as the family members are transformed into Deadites one after another.

Comedy and More Music Fill Out the Night

CNN’s Have I Got News for You follows at 9 p.m. ET. Comedian Dave Foley and political strategist Ashley Allison are the episode’s panel guests.

At 11 p.m. ET, PBS airs a new installment of Austin City Limits featuring Sienna Spiro. The singer performs selections from her debut album, Visitor.

Johnson then takes over NBC at 11:29 p.m. ET for Saturday Night Live, with Turnstile providing the night’s musical performances. The episode caps a schedule spanning festival sets, a live fight, romance, thriller and horror movies, topical comedy and two separate Austin City Limits-branded programs.
