Prime Video is expanding the cast of its upcoming Things We Never Got Over series, adding Sean Teale, Sarah Jeffery, Megan Stott, Lili Simmons, Anthony Keyvan and JoBeth Williams to the contemporary romance adaptation.

The six performers join previously announced leads Molly Griggs, Matthew Noszka and Tommy Martinez. The series is based on Lucy Score’s bestselling novel of the same name, the first installment in her Knockemout trilogy.

The New Knockemout Cast

Teale, whose credits include Doctor Odyssey and Only Murders in the Building, has been cast as Lucian. Jeffery, known for The Six Triple Eight and Charmed, will play Sloane.

Stott will take on the role of Waylay after appearing in Penelope and Little Fires Everywhere. Simmons, whose credits include Double Down South and Power Book IV: Force, will portray Lina.

Keyvan, who has appeared in Just Picture It and XO, Kitty, is set to play Stef. Williams, whose credits include Poltergeist and Behemoth!, rounds out the newly announced group as Liza J.

Prime Video announced the six additions Monday morning. No further details about the newly cast characters were included in the announcement.

A Runaway Bride Arrives in Knockemout

Griggs leads the story as Naomi Witt, a runaway bride who travels to the unusual town of Knockemout, Virginia. Naomi expects to help her estranged twin sister—also played by Griggs—and then return to the life she left behind.

Her plans quickly change when her sister vanishes. Naomi is left to deal with the discovery of a niece she never knew existed, along with a town populated by an array of compelling characters and the prospect of an entirely unexpected future.

Among those waiting in Knockemout are two brothers. Martinez plays Nash Morgan, the town’s charming sheriff, while Noszka portrays Knox Morgan, Nash’s grumpy but alluring brother.

The premise places Griggs at the center of both the family mystery and the show’s romantic dynamics, with the actor portraying Naomi as well as her estranged twin. Noszka and Martinez complete the previously announced trio of series leads.

The Creative Team Behind the Adaptation

Eric Charmelo and Nicole Snyder wrote the pilot and will serve as co-showrunners. Both are also executive producers on the series.

Gina Girolamo will executive produce through her production company, Strega Stories. Score, whose book provides the basis for the adaptation, is attached as a co-executive producer.

Amazon MGM Studios is producing Things We Never Got Over. The series will stream exclusively on Prime Video.
