Watermelon Pictures has picked up “Everything Is Not OK,” a documentary directed by Dev Benegal about artist Judith Blum Reddy.
The film is set to stream exclusively on Watermelon+, the distributor’s streaming platform, marking the project’s path to audiences through the company’s direct streaming outlet.
Benegal is producing the documentary alongside Min(d) Studio’s Maya S. Patel and Neeraj Jain. Annemarie Jacir, whose credits include “Palestine 36,” has joined the project as an executive producer.
“Everything Is Not OK” centers on Blum Reddy’s life and work, with Benegal leading the film as director. The acquisition brings together Watermelon Pictures, Watermelon+, the Min(d) Studio producing team and Jacir as the documentary moves forward under the distributor’s banner.
The deal places the film within Watermelon Pictures’ streaming strategy, with Watermelon+ serving as the exclusive home for the documentary.
