Ariana Madix is extending her Broadway stay in Just in Time, continuing as Connie Francis at the Circle in the Square Theatre through Saturday, November 28, 2026.
The Emmy Award nominee’s added performances come in response to popular demand. Producers Tom Kirdahy and Robert Ahrens said Madix has been receiving nightly standing ovations for her work in the musical.
“Ariana has been earning standing ovations nightly for her stunning performance as Connie Francis in Just in Time,” Kirdahy and Ahrens said. “We’re thrilled that this extension will give even more audiences the chance to see her incredible star power live on stage.”
Madix, whose credits listed by the production include Love Island, appears in the Bobby Darin musical as the cast prepares for several other changes. Matthew Morrison assumes the role of Darin alongside Tristen Buettel as Sandra Dee beginning tonight, with both scheduled to continue through Sunday, November 8.
Tony Award nominee Nicholas Christopher will succeed Morrison as Darin beginning Tuesday, November 10, following his performance in last season’s Chess. At the same time, Sadie Dickerson will return as Sandra Dee for a limited three-week encore engagement.
Whitney Leavitt is then set to return to Broadway as Sandra Dee for six weeks, appearing from December 1, 2026, through January 10, 2027.
Inside the Bobby Darin Musical
Just in Time recounts Darin’s journey from teen idol to global sensation, including the highs and lows of a life and career shaped by his determination to set his own course. The production places audiences inside an intimate nightclub environment, with a live onstage band and an ensemble performing songs including “Beyond the Sea,” “Mack the Knife,” “Splish Splash” and “Dream Lover.”
The musical began performances on March 31, 2025, before opening on April 26, 2025. It was the only musical from the 2024-2025 season to recoup its capitalization.
Alex Timbers developed and directed the production, which is based on an original concept by Ted Chapin. Warren Leight and Isaac Oliver wrote the book, while Andrew Resnick handled music supervision and arrangements. Resnick and Michael Thurber created the orchestrations, and Shannon Lewis provided the choreography.
The design team includes scenic designer Derek McLane, costume designer Catherine Zuber, lighting designer Justin Townsend and sound designer Peter Hylenski. Live Wire Theatrical serves as general manager, while Kirdahy, Ahrens and John Frost are the lead producers.
Along with Madix, Morrison and Buettel, the production’s listed cast includes Debbie Gravitte, Joe Barbara, Emily Bergl, Lance Roberts, Caesar Samayoa, Christine Cornish, Julia Grondin, Valeria Yamin, Tari Kelly, Matt Magnusson, Jeffrey Schecter and Jaime Foord, who is making a Broadway debut.
ShowBiz Take
Madix’s extension arrives amid a carefully timed series of principal-cast transitions, keeping her Connie Francis at the center of the production while new performers rotate into the roles of Bobby Darin and Sandra Dee.
The decision also gives Just in Time additional continuity as it sells performances into 2027. Its recoupment distinction from the 2024-2025 season provides notable context for the extension: the musical is not only continuing its Broadway run, but adding dates for a performer whom its producers credit with drawing enthusiastic responses.
The staging’s nightclub format remains another defining element. In addition to standard tickets, the production offers Night Club “Floor Seating” and “Banquette Seating,” designed to place audience members closer to the performance.
What Happens Next?
This fall, Just in Time has added Thursday matinees. The current schedule is Tuesday and Thursday at 7 p.m.; Friday and Saturday at 8 p.m.; Wednesday and Saturday at 2 p.m.; Thursday at 1 p.m.; and Sunday at 3 p.m.
Tickets are on sale through Sunday, February 7, 2027, starting at $69. They are available through the Circle in the Square Theatre box office at 235 West 50th Street and through the musical’s official website.
For Madix, the immediate next step is now confirmed: her run as Connie Francis will continue through November 28, 2026, extending her place in the production as its upcoming Darin and Sandra Dee performers take their turns onstage.
