If you hadn’t noticed, many early-aughts trends have been making a resurgence—from oversize satchels and preppy fedoras to boho dresses and low-rise jeans. Now, it appears that gladiator sandals are storming their way back into the mainstream, and if one person is able to expedite their return, it’s Zendaya.

Currently, the Emmy-winning actor is promoting her new Christopher Nolan-directed epic, The Odyssey, which is out July 17, and in her usual method dressing fashion (and much thanks to her stylist, Law Roach), she’s been wearing all sorts of on-theme outfits.

Zendaya steps out for The Odyssey press in New York City.

On Monday afternoon, this streak continued as Zendaya stepped out in a series of goddess-inspired fits, including a twisty white dress from the Jacquemus Spring/Summer 2027 ready-to-wear collection, and a chocolate baby tee paired with white pants from the Row. However, her most on-the-nose Grecian look consisted of an archival dress and some dramatic footwear fit for a Homer-era warrior.

Zendaya was styled in an archival dress from Alberta Ferretti.

As she headed to make an appearance on The Today Show, the Euphoria star was seen outfitted in an Alberta Ferretti Spring 2008 design. Like a uniform for a modern-day mythological diva, the off-white minidress featured a deep plunging neckline and ruffled material, with golden chains draping down the front in tiers and looping through a golden belt detail along the waist.

To complete her look, Zendaya laced up in a pair of archival knee-high gladiator sandals from Sophia Webster, which would have looked chic even without the underlying subtext. Finally, she accessorized with silver pendant earrings from Fope, while her curly bixie was styled in bouncy, wet waves, like she just stepped off a ship making its odyssey around the world.

From marble-colored breastplates to leafy bra tops like olive branches, Zendaya’s getting high marks from me at least when it comes to her Odyssey press cycle. Suffice it to say, the goddess look suits her well.
