I love the shape, the soft leather, and the saddle color, and I think it looks even better when it is slightly stuffed with all the things I apparently need to carry around every day—including my 12-inch work laptop. I am choosing to listen to the majority. I am determined to make it work because I really like it, even if my laptop is currently living on the edge. The Transitional Wardrobe Heroes
“Fall is my favorite season in New York City, but these new dresses in my wardrobe are keeping me happier in this warm weather. I am loving so many of Hill House Home’s feminine cotton dresses, and luckily, this Scarlette dress is perfect for both summer and fall thanks to its jewel-tones and partial sleeves. This lovely Bethilde dress from Dôen is also new to my wardrobe. Its delicate lace trim and spaghetti straps are certainly part of the appeal, but I’ll also be layering a sweater over this to extend its mileage during cooler months. The Daily sweater by Heidi Merrick is one of my absolute favorites, so I very enthusiastically decided to add another colorway into the mix, along with a pair of not-too-light but not-too-heavy linen pants.
When I was on Martha’s Vineyard this month, Edgartown’s brand-new Alex Mill store was having an embroidery event, so I jumped at the opportunity to buy a Perfect Daily tote, with my initials and a red lobster embroidered down the front. It has already been a new staple, and I was pleasantly surprised to find that, despite it compact size, it fits my laptop (and then some!). To round out the month, I finally decided to try Margaux’s Phoebe flats in this luxurious, python-embossed burgundy leather.
