Sunday’s television lineup brings two major CBS returns and a crowded slate of finales across cable and streaming. Marshals launches its second season, Tracker begins Season 4, and Lanterns, A Tale of Two Cities and High Value Target: The Hunt for Saddam all reach their season or series endpoints on October 4, 2026.

Sports, live music, mysteries, animation and a new Lifetime movie round out the day. All times below are Eastern.

Sports and music start the day

The schedule begins at 9:30 a.m. on Netflix with an NFL special featuring the Indianapolis Colts against the Washington Commanders. The game airs live from Northwest Stadium in Landover, Maryland.

Hulu picks up the live-event action at 4:30 p.m. with the third and final day of the Austin City Limits Music Festival. The day’s performers include The XX, Twenty One Pilots, Geese and Blood Orange, among others.

At 7 p.m., ABC’s America’s Funniest Home Videos offers a collection of kitchen mishaps, badly behaved animals, distracted blunders and wedding disasters.

Sunday mysteries, animation and a movie premiere

The 8 p.m. hour includes a new case for PBS’ The Marlow Murder Club. Judith, Suzie and Becks face a long list of suspects after a popular but volatile celebrity chef is killed during a cookbook launch.

On Fox’s The Simpsons, Bart and Lisa take in an abandoned baby chimp, only to discover that they have sharply different approaches to parenting.

Lifetime, meanwhile, premieres Where No One Can Find Her. Brianna Cohen plays a mother forced to work with her ex-husband after their teenage daughter, played by Casey Breneman, is kidnapped and buried alive. The pair must put their conflict aside and raise a huge ransom.

At 8:15 p.m., NBC’s Sunday Night Football presents the Detroit Lions versus the Carolina Panthers, live from Bank of America Stadium in Charlotte, North Carolina.

Marshals and Tracker return

Marshals opens Season 2 at 8:30 p.m. on CBS with a family crisis at the center of the action. After Kayce realizes Tate has been taken hostage, he goes rogue and races to save his son. At the same time, the Marshals uncover a powerful criminal organization connected to the East Camp land grab.

Also at 8:30 p.m., Fox’s Animal Control finds Shred unraveling over a negative online review that could make the precinct look bad. Patel, Victoria and Emily attempt to end Addy’s new relationship.

CBS’ Tracker begins its fourth season at 9:30 p.m. Colter’s search for the missing father of a teenage boy takes him to a dangerous criminal operation at the Port of Los Angeles.

Fox also has Grimsburg at 9:30 p.m. Flute steps in after Stan receives a troubling superlative, while Wynona undergoes a brain procedure intended to improve her dating life away from work.

A busy 9 p.m. finale hour

HBO’s Lanterns closes its first season at 9 p.m. The trailer for the season-ending episode appears to show Sinestro telling Hal that he did not have to die in vain before adding, “I know a way…” Exactly what that promise means remains unclear.

TNT’s limited series High Value Target: The Hunt for Saddam also concludes at 9 p.m. John becomes an outcast in Washington as he tries to save Saddam and warns about the looming threat from Iran. A White House meeting gives him a final opportunity to persuade President Bush to change the course of the Middle East.

CNN airs two episodes of The Detour With David Chang, culminating in the docuseries finale. Chang travels through Northern California with his best friend and creative partner, Chris Ying, who tries to win him over to the region’s cuisine during a wine-filled trip. Their discussion turns to whether Mother Nature is responsible for the food’s quality.

Elsewhere at 9 p.m., MGM+’s American Hostage sees Fred pushed to his limit while waiting to learn whether Tony will accept the district attorney’s immunity offer. On PBS’ Marble Hill Murders, Susan races to identify the real killer as tensions intensify.

Bravo’s The Real Housewives Ultimate Girls Trip gathers Housewives from across the years for a celebratory night featuring a surprise appearance by Andy Cohen and a focus on the friendships formed along the way. Fox’s Universal Basic Guys has Mark learning a new instrument as Tammy faces her fear of clowns.

Late-night drama

At 10 p.m., MGM+ concludes the limited series A Tale of Two Cities. With the Revolution turning bloody, Charles is arrested in Paris. Lucie seeks help from Sydney Carton, but a startling revelation at Charles’ trial changes the situation.

PBS’ Trespasses finds Cushla and Michael growing closer amid danger and secrets until she discovers that he has lied. Michael confesses during an angry confrontation and promises to be truthful, but tragedy strikes just as they commit to each other.

HBO’s Youth completes the night’s listed programming. Sam assigns Alex the unpleasant job of bringing Malcom back as a client, while Alex turns to Michael during a family dinner.
