PCCW’s regional streaming service Viu and Thai streamer Truevisions Now have signed a content collaboration to bring a curated selection of premium Thai series to Viu users across Southeast Asia.
Launching August 20 on Viu in Malaysia, Indonesia and the Philippines, the TrueVisions Now branded zone will debut with six series, with additional titles planned over time. The move marks the first time that TrueVisions has launched a branded block outside of Thailand.
The six series available at launch will include comedy A Sample Family, about a family faking a picture perfect life to get their daughter into international school, starring Puak Pongsathorn Jongwilas, Cris Horwang and Neen Neenara Boonnithipaisit; romantic comedy Oops! I’m The Concubine, starring Emma Panisara Yang in the tale of a modern-minded woman transported to a bygone era; and My Wife’s Gunslinger God, about a gamer entering into a one-year contract marriage, starring Aom Sushar Manaying and Mew Suppasit Jongcheveevat.
Also launching on Viu in the TrueVisions branded block will be comedy The Cops Spy On Stage, about a young cop reopening a case tied to his father’s past, starring Nichamon Kham-in, Atchariya Sritha and Somchai Saiuthal; horror drama Mui Fei The Medium, starring Pat Chayanit Chansangavej and Offroad Kantapon Jindataweepol; and romance To Love And Cherish starring Thanapat Kawila and Nalinthip Sakulongampai.
