It turns out Taylor Swift really meant it when she said she was inviting everyone she knew to her wedding.
Back in October, a newly-engaged Swift made the bold claim that no contact of hers would be left off her wedding guest list. “I think the only stressful weddings are the ones where you have a small amount [of invitations] and people are on the bubble, right? And you have to evaluate or assess your relationship with them to see if they should be there,” she said on The Graham Norton Show. “I’m not gonna do that.”
And indeed she didn’t. In addition to her family and close inner circle—Selena Gomez, Gigi Hadid, Zoë Kravitz, etc—the “Opalite” singer extended an invite to old friends, new acquaintances, and some unanticipated stars. (If you would have told us Adam Sandler would officiate the ceremony, we certainly wouldn’t have believed you.)
Ahead, see all of the unexpected guests who attended the Madison Square Garden wedding of the year. Because let’s face it: when you have a 1,000-person guest list, there are bound to be some surprises.
Karlie Kloss
One of the most speculated-about potential-invitees was, of course, Karlie Kloss. Back in the mid-2010s, the model and Swift were inseparable, attending Knicks games, going on road trips, and even doing joint interviews. The two grew apart in the years that followed, though Kloss was seen supporting her former best friend at the Eras Tour in 2023—causing fans to wonder if they were back in each other’s lives.
Joshua Kushner
Photos of Kloss and her husband, Joshua Kushner, confirmed that the two were heading to Swift’s big day.
Adam Sandler
Who else would you want to officiate your wedding? In an official statement made from Swift’s team, it was confirmed that “friend” Adam Sandler married the “Love Story” singer and NFL player at their MSG celebration.
Jason Sudeikis
Ted Lasso fans were surprised to see photos of Jason Sudeikis heading to MSG for the Swift-Kelce wedding.
Ethan Hawke
Likewise, Ethan Hawke fans may have been surprised by the actor-slash-writer’s appearance at the nuptials (although they’d be forgetting one of his greatest roles: a scientist in Swift’s “Fortnight” music video).
Hugh Grant
Hugh Grant and wife Anna Eberstein also joined in on the celebration. A self-proclaimed “long time Hugh Grant stan,” Swift formed a friendship with the actor after he attended the Eras Tour in London.
“You have an incredible show, an amazing and v hospitable team and excellent if gigantic boyfriend (#tequilashots),” Grant wrote on X the day after the concert. “Thanks so much from one ageing London boy, wife and thrilled 8 year old.”
Swift promptly responded, calling the tweet “very important” to her “culture.”
The following year, while on Late Night With Seth Meyers, the artist revealed that Kelce had mistaken Eberstein for his “favorite director,” Greta Gerwig, who was also in the tent that night. Speaking with his now-wife after the show, the football player expressed his confusion over Grant’s close relationship with “Gerwig,” telling her that the pair seemed like “soulmates.”
“The tea is crazy tonight, Travis,” Swift replied, before they figured out the mixup.
Barbara Corcoran
“I’m getting ready for a very special wedding,” Shark Tank’s Barbara Corcoran—who has been a longtime Swiftie—said in an Instagram video. “I can’t wait to get there and I’m so happy for them,” she shared, calling Kelce a “hunk.”
