After all, just look at how she teased her Toy Story 5 soundtrack cut, or how she clued fans into the impending arrival of her twelfth studio album, The Life of a Showgirl. Now, as we near the 20th anniversary of her self-titled debut (which was originally released on October 24, 2006), it seems Swift is trying to tell us something yet again.
Let’s not forget that, back in August, Swift wore a seafoam-green Dôen dress to a special Grammy Museum event in Los Angeles (as Swifties well know, green is the color associated with her debut “era”). Then, on Sunday night, “The Fate of Ophelia” singer was spotted out on a date with her husband, Travis Kelce, where she left a much more subtle Easter egg for fans, seemingly referencing the same era.
A couple of months after tying the knot at Madison Square Garden, Swift and Kelce were seen out in the Big Apple again, this time heading to dinner at Ambassadors Clubhouse, a high-scale restaurant specializing in Northern Indian food that’s located in the NoMad neighborhood.
For the outing, Swift turned to one of her favorite designers—Stella McCartney—for a silk-blend, backless halter dress in stripes of diagonal gold and brown. The maxi design was held up with a golden chain, while the skirt was cut with a slit up the side.
To complete her look, Swift carried a brown Frayme bucket bag, also from Stella McCartney, while slipping into a set of silver knotty sandal heels from Aquazzura.
However, perhaps the most notable detail was Swift’s bright-green nails, which felt like a subtle nod to her Taylor Swift album. Not to mention, they also perfectly matched her opal bracelet-and-ring set, which once belonged to Elizabeth Taylor and was gifted to her by Kelce.
