TAEMIN has postponed the entire six-city North American leg of his 2026-27 TAEMIN WORLD TOUR <LiMiNaL>, citing unresolved U.S. visa and administrative issues involving essential members of the touring operation.

The 33-year-old K-pop singer, a solo artist and former member of SHINee, announced the decision in a statement posted on X earlier this week. He said uncertainty surrounding the participation of key touring and production workers had made it too risky to proceed with the shows as planned.

“Due to ongoing uncertainty surrounding U.S. visa and related administrative processes affecting key touring and production personnel, we have made the difficult decision to postpone the scheduled North American dates of the 2026-27 TAEMIN WORLD TOUR <LiMiNaL>,” the statement said.

Six planned stops affected

The North American run was scheduled to begin Oct. 12 at SAP Center in San Jose, California. TAEMIN was then due to visit Los Angeles, Las Vegas, Grand Prairie, Texas, Chicago and Newark, New Jersey.

According to the singer’s statement, a “significant number” of important touring and production personnel hired for the North American dates had yet to receive their travel visas. There was also “no clear timeline for issuance,” leaving the tour without certainty that the necessary team would be able to participate.

“Given the continued uncertainty surrounding the participation of essential personnel, we determined that proceeding with the tour as scheduled would carry significant operational and production risks,” he explained.

Although all six scheduled appearances have been pulled from the current itinerary, TAEMIN characterized the move as a postponement rather than the end of his North American plans. He said the region remains an “integral part” of the world tour and indicated that replacement dates will be announced.

Fans who purchased tickets for the original shows can request refunds through their original point of purchase.

“We sincerely apologize to everyone who has been looking forward to the shows and appreciate your understanding,” TAEMIN wrote. “We look forward to sharing the new North American tour dates with you soon.”

The tour follows a major year for TAEMIN

The postponed dates were intended to support TAEMIN’s August EP, Phase 1: SOFT VIOLENCE. The project arrived four months after his Coachella debut, where he delivered the festival’s first-ever solo set by a male Korean artist.

TAEMIN is not the only international performer to encounter U.S. visa complications. Under the second Trump administration, a number of artists have faced extended processing delays or last-minute visa revocations by the State Department.

Recent cases have involved Canadian indie rockers The New Pornographers, FKA Twigs, Australian artist Keli Holiday, also known as Adam Hyde, and norteño performer Julión Álvarez.

What Happens Next?

TAEMIN has not provided replacement dates for the six postponed concerts. For now, the timing of the North American leg remains tied to the unresolved visa and administrative processes affecting his essential touring and production personnel.

His statement makes clear, however, that the North American shows are still expected to be part of the wider 2026-27 tour. New dates are due to be shared once the affected arrangements can be finalized.
