The Spanish royals are summering in Mallorca this week—and they sure are dressing the part.
Yesterday, King Felipe VI, Queen Letizia, and their two daughters—Crown Princess Leonor and Infanta Sofía—hosted their traditional summer reception at Marivent Palace in Palma de Mallorca, where they welcomed leading figures from the Balearic Islands.
Leonor—the heir to the Spanish throne—was a vision in a breezy set in a fiery sunset-like print by Spanish sustainable label Thinking Mu. The ensemble was composed of a sleeveless pleated top and a matching maxi skirt with a stretchy waistband—an ideal look for an elegant summer dinner. Braided golden sandals and some funky gold jewelry (à la her mom, Letizia) complemented the warm tones of the co-ord. As for beauty, beach curls and a glossy pink lip were the perfect choice.
Sofía went with her own burst of color: a flowing V-neck maxi dress—the Libelula, or dragonfly, dress—from Italian brand Momonì. In a watercolor of pinks, whites, and purples, the piece was cinched with a metallic gold sun belt from Zara (which retails for less than $40), and paired with strappy gold sandals from Spanish footwear brand Pedro García. Like her sister, she accessorized with some gold jewelry and put on a glossy pink lip.
The girls were joined by their grandmother Queen Sofía (the king’s mother), who was fabulous in a burgundy robe-like maxi dress with a floral print, plus layers of gold jewelry.
Letizia was lovely as always in a white midi dress with sheer-fabric stripes from Spanish label Sybilla, plus silver block heels from Aquazzura and the Skyline Crawler earrings from Gold and Roses.
Style certainly runs in the family.
