Miley is celebrating a major chart return after her 10th studio album, Bass Persuades, debuted at No. 1 on the main U.S. albums chart.
The album opened with 61,000 equivalent album units earned in the United States during the week ending Sept. 24, according to Luminate. It enters atop the chart dated Oct. 3, giving Miley her sixth No. 1 album and her 16th release to reach the top 10.
The achievement also marks her first time leading the chart since Bangerz topped it in 2013.
Sharing her reaction on Instagram, the singer made clear that the milestone represented far more than a ranking.
“Bass Persuades being #1 transcends a win,” Miley wrote. “This process has been some of the best times for me. Everyone involved made it possible and more importantly fun and memorable.”
She went on to recognize the people who supported the project, writing, “Thank you Atlantic, my team, and everyone who walks beside me with conviction. I love you.”
Miley then directed a heartfelt message to her fans, known as Smilers: “To the fans you make my world go round. Making music for you brings immeasurable joy to my life. Forever. 🖤 MILEY.”
A floral celebration for a chart milestone
The celebratory post featured a towering No. 1 fashioned from white roses, along with a photograph of Miley standing beside the arrangement. The singer, who recently moved from using Miley Cyrus professionally to the mononym Miley, also shared a congratulatory message from Atlantic Records chairman and CEO Elliot Grainge.
“Miley, congratulations on the #1 debut!” Grainge wrote. “We are so proud and lucky to get to do this with you. Here’s to many more!”
The album’s chart-topping arrival follows another significant showing for the project. “Bass Persuades,” the title track and first single, debuted at No. 35 on the U.S. Hot 100 chart dated Sept. 19. That result gave Miley her 24th top 40 hit.
Her previous album, Something Beautiful, arrived last year. It debuted and peaked at No. 4 on the main U.S. albums chart dated June 14, 2025.
What Happens Next?
Miley will mark the release of Bass Persuades with two shows at the Hollywood Bowl on Oct. 16 and Oct. 18. The performances are notable appearances for the singer, who has not toured in years and rarely takes the stage at large venues.
Announcing the concerts, Miley reflected on her personal connection to the venue and Los Angeles.
“I’ve sat in those seats many times, but I’ve never taken the stage,” she said. “L.A. is my heart and I’m bringing it home. See you there.”
