If you ever wondered what billionaires do in the summer—apart from going on European holidays and lounging on their mega yachts—it’s make their way to Idaho to convene at the annual Allen & Company Sun Valley Conference, frequently dubbed the “billionaires’ summer camp.”
Jeff Bezos and wife Lauren Sánchez Bezos were among the attendees at the event this week, which kicked off on July 7 and wraps on the 11th. The exclusive, invitation-only retreat gathers top tech, media, and business executives—AKA the most powerful people on the planet—to network.
Others in attendance this year? CEO of Apple Tim Cook, CEO of OpenAI Sam Altman, Wendi Murdoch (an entrepreneur and the third wife of media mogul Rupert Murdoch), founder of Reel Genius Veronica Grazer, co-host of CBS Mornings Gayle King, as well as Ivanka Trump and husband Jared Kushner.
It’s difficult to even think about what one would wear to such an event. A suit, perhaps? Apparently not. Bezos showed up in a skintight black polo, classic blue jeans, and black cowboy boots.
And Sánchez Bezos went full summer vacation in a flowy pink look. Up top, the former journalist wore a collared baby-pink wrap top that left her collarbone and abs bare. She paired it with a pink skirt adorned with a black painterly print, which sat low on her hips and swished with her as she walked.
She pinned her conference badge to the waistband, as one does.
Sky-high platform stilettos in eggshell white paired perfectly with her icy Hermès Birkin bag. The true money sign, though, rested on her ears: massive diamond studs that reflected the Idaho sun’s rays like mirrors. Sánchez Bezos pulled her hair up in an easy ponytail, while she and Bezos coordinated in aviator sunglasses.
