Kriti Sanon knows her skin-care ingredients. While sharing her beauty secrets with Vogue, the Bollywood star sets the mood by lighting a Dolce & Gabbana candle. Then she’s ready for some serious skin prep, which includes everything from homemade rosewater spray to biphasic niacinamide serum and a few jolts of microcurrent.
“When I hit 30, that’s when I was like, I need to really start taking care of my skin,” says the now-36-year-old. “I found it really interesting how different ingredients work differently, so I started ordering a lot of products online and almost became obsessed with skin care.” So fervent was her interest, Sanon launched her own skin-care brand, Hyphen, in 2023.
Some three years later, the brand’s forthcoming clay mask and best-selling brightening serum are staples in her skin-care routine, though a more recent discovery is one she can’t live without. Holding up her pink NuFace Mini+, the entrepreneur says, “My new love is a microcurrent device.”
After applying activator gel, Sanon runs the device along her jawline, cheeks, and forehead—a practice she’s honed while on the road. “I like using this when I’m traveling,” the multihyphenate says. “If I’m going to a shoot, it’s like 10 minutes in the car, and you’re done. I find that really convenient.” Surveying her skin after a quick pass with the tool, the New Delhi native says, “Do you see that lift? It’s, like, instant.”
The rest of Sanon’s routine is nearly as quick. Though she has been known to spend nearly an hour plucking her brows—“It’s therapeutic,” the actor explains—getting a “bronzy, glowy, glam look for evening” takes mere minutes. After using Charlotte Tilbury’s Flawless Filter, followed by Saie’s liquid bronzer, MAC’s powder bronzer, and a mix of creamy Rhode blushes, Sanon is satisfied. “I like easy products,” she says, blissfully burnished and unbothered.
