In Dylan Meyer’s stoner comedy The Wrong Girls, Kristen Stewart and Alia Shawkat play co-dependent pals made telepathic by an experimental new drug. While their personal style on the movie’s promo tour couldn’t be more different—Stewart a red carpet rebel and committed sneakerhead, Shawkat an artfully romantic dresser—they’ve both been adding subtle, sartorial nods to each other with their looks. Take their appearance at the Los Angeles premiere at Nela Dispensary last week. Stewart opted for a very Kristen-Stewart fit formula: a textured white short-sleeved shirt left unbuttoned from the bottom up to reveal her navel and a gray bra underneath, low-rise and extra-long black cargo shorts, tube socks and black adidas Samba sneakers with a neon green three-stripe. Alia Shawkat, meanwhile, opted for a feminine Gucci fall 2026 floral wrap dress and black mules: the zesty green and black pattern quietly coordinating with Stewart’s sneakers.
Out and about in New York for photo calls and junkets, Stewart opted for a vintage Pixies merch tee, low-rise white baggy jeans, and triple black adidas Sambas. Shawkat wore an airy sundress with watercolor yellow and black-and-white leaf panelling, with her own pair of white stripe adidas.
And last night in NYC, their matching outfit details were even more apparent. Shawkat wore a draped cornflower blue dress with a striking red flower pinned to her chest, styled with white and cork-heeled wedges and a Gucci monogram shoulder bag. Stewart stayed strong on her go-to outfit formula in a black Dickies jacket, vintage tee, silk shorts, and Converse high-top sneakers, with the bomber jacket also featuring a red pocket accent.
