If there’s one thing that never disappoints, it’s Jennifer Lawrence’s cool-mom style. The actor constantly inspires us with her low-key, errand-run wardrobe—from her breezy, loose pants and long coats, to her styling of scarves and layering of primary colors. And now, she’s out again—in some jorts.

Yesterday, the No Hard Feelings star stepped out for a walk with her son, who lounged in his stroller, while in an easy look that totally worked. (She shares two sons— Cy, 4, and another boy born in early 2025—with art gallery director husband Cooke Maroney.)

Up top, she wore a navy (seemingly vintage) Playboy T-shirt, the retro feel of which went perfectly with her long denim cutoff shorts. These has frayed hems and silver studs arranged in swirly designs throughout.

For footwear, Lawrence reached for the show of the season: the black flip-flop. The sandals matched her black “a new play by Cole Escola” cap and rectangular shades.

Shorts have been having quite a moment this year—particularly during this heatwave. Just as Bermuda shorts have seen a sharp comeback, so have itty bitty shorts, athletic shorts, and jorts straight from the early 2000s—which Lawrence is evidently on board with. While the actor chose to go casual with her jorts look this time around, the bottoms can just as easily be dressed up—with everything from kitten heels to loafers and ballet flats.
