Gaining a brother or sister-in-law is, for anyone, a big moment of change. For Jason Kelce, however, it not only meant a new family member—but a whole new set of fans, too.
In a July 21 episode of The Ross Tucker Football Podcast, the former Philadelphia Eagles player opened up about how life was altered when his brother, Travis, started dating global superstar Taylor Swift.
Telling the fellow NFL alum about living in the public eye, Jason explained that the attention was “definitely gradual,” before it took a “very big flip” when Travis and Swift introduced their relationship to the world. In Jason’s words, it “led to a whole other demographic of fan base being interested in not just [him] but [his] entire family.”
In addition to the brothers, the Kelce family includes parents Donna and Ed, as well as Jason’s wife, Not Gonna Lie podcast host Kylie, and their four young daughters—Wyatt, 6, Elliotte, 5, Bennett, 3, and Finnley, 1—who served as flower girls at the T&T wedding earlier this month.
“I went from very much being dominated by large fat men coming up to me and shaking my hand and thanking me for being an Eagle, to little girls,” Jason continued. “It was quite a shift of people that became fans.”
Perhaps Travis said it best back in October of 2023, shortly after he started dating Swift. “You’ve got a lot of people that care about Taylor,” he noted when asked about the attention on his relationship. “And for good reason.”
