Two things that could be described as “sultry”: The oppressively hot weather in Milan this week, and Olivia Cooke’s look for the Thom Browne spring 2027 menswear show in the Italian fashion capital.
“It was very much weather-dependent,” Cooke tells Vogue of her look for the show—a lace-up corset and pleated midi skirt in Browne’s signature shade of charcoal gray. “We tried on a few looks, which were all incredible, but felt like this was more in keeping with the vampy Italian vibe we were going for. I felt womanly and chic.”
The House of the Dragon star—who celebrated the third season’s release just this week—may have traded King’s Landing for Milan Fashion Week, but her routine stays relatively constant. “They are sort of one of the same. A premiere nowadays is sort of a fashion show in itself,” she says. “My routine: a hearty breakfast, a face mask, shave my legs, Rosalía, and I’m good to go.”
After bumping a playlist—including Rosalía’s operatic Lux, FKA Twigs’s Eusexua, “and a bit of new Madonna—‘Love Sensation,’” it was time to head to the show. Cooke was especially moved by the finale look—Browne’s cheeky take on the couture bride tradition. “I would like that to be my funeral shroud,” she jokes.
Here, Olivia Cooke brings Vogue along as she heads to the Thom Browne spring 2027 men’s show.
