Camouflage print hasn’t been reserved for just hunting gear or military personnel in quite some time. Throughout fashion history, the organic, forest-toned print has popped up again and again on the runways and in everyday street style. In the ’60s and ’70s, anti-war protestors donned it as a symbol of resistance. Then, it became popularized by streetwear and hip-hop icons in the ’90s. Now, there’s everything from camo snow pants to camo-inspired rugby shirts and even camo bodysuits for pop stars. Let’s not forget when Kamala Harris added Realtree camo to the Harris-Walz baseball caps she sold during her presidential run in 2024 (a cheeky design choice that her team borrowed from stars like Chappell Roan).
Yet despite the near-omnipresence of the pattern, there are still ways in which camo can surprise us. Take Hailey Bieber’s latest beach look. In a new Instagram post from Justin Bieber (seen here), the pop superstar is seen hugging his wife, Hailey, who wears a camouflage-printed bikini set from the Khy x Frankies Bikinis collaboration. Not only was the look a show of support for her friend Kylie Jenner’s brand, but it was also a striking swimwear statement.
As we know, Hailey’s wardrobe often consists of athleisure, vintage slip dresses, American staples, and “mob wife” accessories. And in this instance, the camo print actually seemed quite fitting for her and Justin’s woodsy getaway.
Throughout the rest of the slideshow, the pair is seen sailing around on a lake with friends, fishing, golfing, playing music, and spending time with their son, Jack Blues, who recently celebrated his second birthday. The photos seem to have been taken in the same cabin that has made many appearances in Justin’s past photo dumps. Perhaps it’s part of his reported sprawling lakeside Ontario estate?
Either way, trust that when the family escapes to touch some grass, Hailey will have plenty of on-theme outfits packed— swimwear and all.
