Matty Healy and Gabbriette’s wedding photos are finally here, and the dark romance of it all is truly bewitching. The string of photos—shared by the model in several separate Instagram posts—are chaotic, intentionally low-res, gothic, sexy, and filled with the yearning passion of every Emily Brontë novel—like Wuthering Heights but with grungy, rock ‘n’ roll, Hollywood types.
Gabbriette—born Gabriella Leigh Bechtel—is pictured running in the grassy fields of Los Angeles’s Castillo del Lago: a historic Hollywood Hills estate once owned by Madonna. She is a vision in her white Victorian-inspired corset gown by Matières Fécales, and a long, flowing sheer veil that floats around her like a cloud, and even envelopes Healy at one point.
The groom wears a classic black tuxedo, an unbuttoned white shirt, and an undone bow tie. His wife takes the red rose from his lapel and holds it on her lap as the two share a smoke.
One especially romantic image sees the vocalist of The 1975 putting a cigarette to Bechtel’s lips, showing off his hand tattoo, which reads “Gabi” spelled on his fingers.
The couple fully leaned into the gothic Victorian vibes in another photo, which captured them bowing to each other like members of the upper class used to bow to their partners before sharing a dance.
The model and the singer began dating in September 2023 and got engaged in June 2024. Bechtel posted a photo of her custom ring on Instagram with the caption, “MARRYING THE 1975 IS VERY BRAT.” The piece features a rare, five-carat cushion-cut black diamond surrounded by a halo of pavé diamonds. Very dark. Very romance.
