Nintendo put fresh attention on Hyrule with its Zelda 40th Anniversary Direct, and the biggest confirmed reveal was the first gameplay look at the highly anticipated The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time remake.
The new footage was part of the latest IGN Daily Fix roundup, which highlighted several Zelda-related announcements from Nintendo. Alongside gameplay from the remake, Nintendo also showed first looks at a new LEGO set, Zelda amiibo, a replica Master Sword and additional anniversary-related items.
One area where Nintendo kept details limited was the upcoming Zelda live-action movie. According to the roundup, not much from the film was shown, but Nintendo did reveal an official logo for the project.
The Zelda Direct news arrived as part of a broader gaming update that also included confirmed global release timing for GTA 6. U.S. players will be able to start the game at midnight Eastern time on November 19. That timing means West Coast players can begin at 9 p.m. Pacific.
Capcom also had a major update in the same roundup. Onimusha: Way of the Sword has sold one million copies so far, continuing what the report described as Capcom’s streak. The company is now considering revivals of other dormant IPs, raising the possibility that a Dino Crisis reboot could eventually happen.

For Zelda fans, the major confirmed takeaway is that Nintendo has now shown gameplay from the Ocarina of Time remake and has started rolling out anniversary merchandise and collectibles, including LEGO, amiibo and the Master Sword replica.
