Disney+ and Hulu are rolling out another round of subscription price increases, with the largest jumps hitting customers who prefer to stream without ads.
The new rates take effect Wednesday, September 23, for new subscribers. Existing customers will see the changes reflected on their next monthly bill.
The biggest increases hit ad-free plans
Disney+ Premium, the service’s no-ads tier, is climbing from $18.99 to $21.49 per month. The $2.50 increase represents a 13% rise.
Hulu Premium is getting an identical dollar increase. Its ad-free monthly price will also move from $18.99 to $21.49.
Customers subscribing to both services without ads will face a smaller increase. The Disney+/Hulu Premium Bundle is rising by $2, moving from $19.99 to $21.99 per month.
That leaves only a 50-cent difference between the cost of the ad-free bundle and a standalone ad-free subscription to either Disney+ or Hulu. Under the new pricing, Disney+ Premium and Hulu Premium will each cost $21.49, while the combined package will be $21.99.
Ad-supported prices are changing, too
The standalone Disney+ and Hulu plans with advertising will each become 50 cents more expensive. Both services currently cost $11.99 per month with ads and will increase to $12.49.
One subscription option is avoiding a price hike: The ad-supported Disney+/Hulu Bundle will remain at $12.99 per month.

Other streaming services recently raised prices
The Disney+ and Hulu changes follow subscription increases at Apple TV and Peacock in August.
Apple TV raised its monthly fee by $2, taking the price from $12.99 to $14.99.
Peacock increased both of its listed monthly subscription tiers. Its ad-supported Premium plan went from $10.99 to $12.99, while the ad-free Premium Plus plan rose from $16.99 to $19.99.

New Disney+ and Hulu subscribers will pay the revised rates beginning September 23. Current subscribers will move to the higher prices with their next monthly billing cycle, while the ad-supported Disney+/Hulu Bundle will continue at its existing $12.99 monthly price.
