Chris Pratt is heading back into action as James Reece when The Terminal List returns for its second season on Prime Video. All eight new episodes will premiere together on October 21, 2026, giving viewers the complete season in a single release rather than a weekly rollout.
Pratt once again plays Reece, a vengeful former Navy SEAL, following an unusually long break for the original series. Season 1 debuted in 2022, putting more than four years between the show’s first and second installments.
The franchise did not disappear during that gap. The prequel series The Terminal List: Dark Wolf arrived in 2025 and featured Pratt alongside Taylor Kitsch. Luke Hemsworth and Tom Hopper, who also appeared in the prequel, are joining Season 2 of the main series. Gabriel Luna and Yul Vazquez have been added to the cast as well.
Dark Wolf takes place before the events of the original show, creating a bridge of sorts between the two main seasons despite its earlier position in the story’s timeline.
Every Season 2 Episode Arrives on the Same Day
Prime Video will make the entire second season available on October 21, 2026. The all-at-once strategy means there will be no staggered weekly schedule for the new run.
Season 2 matches the first season’s eight-episode total and contains one more episode than the seven-part Dark Wolf. The complete release schedule is:
- Episode 1, “Romulus S.V.” — October 21, 2026
- Episode 2, “Warrior in a Garden” — October 21, 2026
- Episode 3, “Shooter Ready” — October 21, 2026
- Episode 4, “Into the Labyrinth” — October 21, 2026
- Episode 5, “Frogman Sh$t” — October 21, 2026
- Episode 6, “Rats in a Maze” — October 21, 2026
- Episode 7, “Every Bullet Has Its Destiny” — October 21, 2026
- Episode 8, “Fathers and Sons” — October 21, 2026
The simultaneous drop gives audiences the option to move through James Reece’s latest story at their own pace, but it also means every episode—and its potential spoilers—will be in circulation from premiere day.
A Franchise With More Source Material
The Terminal List is based on Jack Carr’s novel series. Seven books have been published in the series, with an eighth due the following year. That provides broader context for the screen franchise’s continuation after its extended hiatus, although no additional adaptation plans beyond Season 2 have been confirmed.
The returning and newly added cast also connects the original show more directly to Dark Wolf. Pratt and Kitsch both appeared in the prequel, while Hemsworth and Hopper are now moving from that series into the second season of The Terminal List.
ShowBiz Take
The biggest development is not simply Pratt’s return as James Reece—it is the way Prime Video is bringing the show back after more than four years. In the time between the first two seasons, Dark Wolf expanded the franchise and introduced performers who will now appear in the flagship series.
Releasing all eight installments at once also makes Season 2 an immediate, complete comeback rather than a return spread across several weeks. For viewers who followed both the 2022 first season and the 2025 prequel, October 21 will deliver the next full chapter in one package.
What Happens Next?
A third season remains uncertain. The Terminal List has not officially been renewed for Season 3, so Prime Video has not yet confirmed whether James Reece’s story will continue beyond the eight episodes arriving on October 21, 2026.
