Charli XCX may be gearing up to release a new album, but her brat aesthetic isn’t going anywhere—as evidenced by the musician’s latest street style look.

On Friday afternoon, the Grammy-winning singer made an appearance at a Los Angeles pop-up for her eighth studio album, Music, Fashion, Film, which is due out today. The occasion saw Charli become the latest celebrity champion of a throwback shoe trend.

Wearing a black asymmetrical T-shirt and black micro shorts with gold sailor-style buttons, Charli capped off her look with glossy patent leather stilettos featuring a peep toe from Black Suede Studio. (Charli is far from the only one tapping into the peep-toe heel revival; Olivia Rodrigo, Rosalía, and Tracee Ellis Ross are just some stars who have offered their own takes on the trend as of late.)

Naturally, the “party 4 u” singer accessorized with some other show-stopping pieces, including a large leather tote bag from Saint Laurent and a silver wrist watch from Cartier.

Since the release of her game-changing brat album in 2024, Charli’s personal style has become synonymous with a grungy, club-esque aesthetic. Think leather, raw hemlines, and—of course—lots of black.

Most recently, Charli exhibited her style while attending the wedding of friends Matty Healy (who plays in The 1975 with Charli’s husband, George Daniel) and Gabbriette. For the extravagant affair, Charli wore a black maxi wrap dress, which feature ruffles lining the neckline and hem. She completed the look with yet more black details: an oversize clutch bag, pointed-toe slingback stilettos, and rectangular shades.
