Big Brother Season 28 sent another player to the Jury House in Week 9, and this time the vote claimed a reality competition standout.
Angela Murray was evicted from the house by a 3-2 vote during the live eviction episode hosted by Julie Chen Moonves, making her the tenth housemate eliminated from Season 28 and the second member of the jury. That jury will ultimately vote for the winner on finale night.
The Week 9 eviction capped a high-stakes round that began with Barrett Pfeiffer winning Head of Household. As HOH, Barrett had immunity for the week and the power to place three housemates on the block. He used that authority to nominate three players with prior reality competition history: Angela Murray from Big Brother 26, Dee Valladares from Survivor 45, and Rick Devens from Survivor 38 and Survivor 50.
The nominations put three familiar reality TV names in immediate danger as Season 28 continued moving toward its finale. But the block was not locked at the nomination ceremony. Angela, Dee and Devens still had potential paths to safety through the Power of Veto, either by winning it themselves or persuading another housemate to use it on one of them.
That opportunity went to Yash Patel, who won the Power of Veto in the BB Comics competition. Yash ultimately chose not to use the POV, leaving Barrett’s original nominations intact and keeping Angela, Dee and Devens on the block.
The final chance to avoid the vote came in the BB Block Buster competition. Angela, Dee and Devens all competed, and after a close race, Devens won safety. With Devens removed from danger, the eviction vote came down to Angela and Dee.
Once the houseguests entered the Diary Room, the numbers moved narrowly against Angela. Devens, Taylor and Yash voted to evict Angela, while Drew and Melody voted to evict Dee.
The 3-2 result ended Angela’s run in the game and sent her directly to the Jury House. Dee survived the vote, while Devens’ Block Buster win kept him from facing the houseguest decision at all.
Angela’s exit marks another major shift in a season that is now deep into its endgame, where each Head of Household reign, veto decision and safety competition can reshape the path to finale night.
