2 min readAt the Five Star Weekend Los Angeles premiere, Chloë Sevigny brought the cutest date: her six-year-old son. And it turns out that Vanja, born in 2020 to the actor and her partner, Siniša Mačković, has gotten his mother’s fashion gene.
Attending the photo call alongside costars Jennifer Garner and Gemma Chan, Sevigny brought her effortlessly cool-girl touch to the red carpet—posing for photos in a light butter-yellow gown with twisted off-the-shoulder straps and a high leg slit. The satin piece was layered over a white blouse, which was unbuttoned and styled to mirror the neckline of the dress.
Looking just as at home on the red carpet as the style icon, Vanja helped his mom with her train, making sure the pale fabric never touched the L.A. sidewalks. His straw-blonde hair matched the dress, and he was dressed in an all-black Gap fit that he apparently picked out himself.
When asked if her son is as into fashion as she is, Sevigny told E! News that he’s “just starting to be.”
“He’s like, ‘I want to wear all black. I want a gold chain. I want certain sunglasses,’” she said on the carpet. “At first it was kind of a ninja thing, but now it’s translating into something else. I think he gets a lot of attention for it.”
“I was like, ‘I shouldn’t bring him on a carpet,’ but he wouldn’t take no for an answer,” she added, revealing it was her son’s idea to carry her train for her.
Sevigny finished off her look with a pair of black shades and matching slingback heels, and carried a gold Saint Laurent clutch.
