1 min readThe Odyssey press tour has officially begun! Starting in London with a photo call right along the River Thames, Anne Hathaway and her fellow co-stars kicked off the countdown to Christopher Nolan’s take on Homer’s classic Greek epic.
For her first look of the tour—or odyssey, if you will—Hathaway drew from the story’s rich history, picking out a little white dress with all the billowing, fluid drapery synonymous with ancient Greek and Roman sculptures. The piece was pulled from David Koma’s Resort 2027 collection for Blumarine, a dreamy line that explored the duality of the modern woman as both romantic and powerful, as daring and delicate. Its off-the-shoulder neckline, loose silhouette, and high-low hem were finished with whimsical accents and long ruffle detailing floating down her sides to the carpet.
And it was even more striking as a maternity piece.
Last month, Hathaway announced that she was pregnant with her third child. The new addition to her family will join her husband, Adam Shulman, and their two sons: Jonathan, age 10, and Jack, age 6.
The actor worked with longtime stylist Erin Walsh on the look, and together, they paired the lightweight dress with Trussardi sunglasses, Bvlgari jewels, and over-the-knee tan suede boots from Gianvito Rossi. She carried a vintage Chanel bag, sourced from Fashionphile, and stepped out alongside Zendaya, Tom Holland, Matt Damon, Robert Pattinson, and Lupita Nyong’o.
The Odyssey, out on July 17, will see Hathaway star as Penelope, the sharp queen of Ithaca and Odysseus’s wife.
