1 min readUnlike the stricter no-naked-dressing dress code over in Cannes, Venice Film Festival offers its guests full creative freedom when it comes to their red-carpet looks. And Sydney Sweeney is gearing up to take full advantage.
The actor, who has been known to love a sheer or semi-sheer look from time to time, just arrived in the Italian city wearing a casual take on the style. Photographed leaving the airport to catch her gondola ride, she was seen in a vintage cropped ruffle top, crafted from floral see-through Chantilly lace with a criss-cross halter neckline and loose, asymmetrical shape.
The flowy piece, pulled from Georges Chakra’s Spring/Summer 2003 couture collection, was finished with cascading lace frills, and was layered over a skintight peach tank for a bit of coverage. The under-layer helped give the illusion of a fully naked under-boob moment, while letting Sweeney stay comfy for the flight (and boat ride).
The Euphoria star paired the top with its runway counterpart: sand-colored silk taffeta Bermuda shorts designed with a low-rise silhouette and knee-length leg. The bottoms were secured with a matching silk scarf tied around the waistband.
For shoes, Sweeney played into the sheer moment above, slipping into a pair of nude pumps with a high heel and a clear strap. She carried a gold satin mini Fendi Baguette, and further accessorized with slim rounded sunglasses, diamond stud earrings, and a delicate gold watch. Her long blonde hair was pulled into a half-up half-down bun, and her nails were painted a shiny white.
