Sometimes, putting on an all-white outfit in the kitchen can feel like you’re asking for it to get stained. But, then again, some sartorial rules have never seemed to apply to Duchess Meghan.
Case in point: In the latest Instagram video shared by her lifestyle brand, As Ever, the Duchess of Sussex is seen preparing an ice cream sundae with some of her brand’s raspberry spread as a base—a move that could have resulted in a serious fashion disaster. Of course, she never ends up spilling a drop.
“Adding this to our summer menu 🍨,” the caption reads. “Meghan’s favorite ice cream sundae with Raspberry Spread, vanilla ice cream, crumbled shortbread, and Flower Sprinkles.”
As she prepares the sundae (and plays with a bit of fire), Meghan does so in one of her classic monochromatic looks for summer.
The queen of high-low dressing opted for a white-on-white ensemble that was composed of a couple affordable closet staples, paired with some more quiet-luxury accessories.
This included a linen strapless top from Reformation, which retails for only $168. The dressy-yet-casual piece buttoned up in the front like a vest, while the halter neckline criss-crossed around her nape. She paired it with one of her favorite skirts of the season: the Emma pencil skirt from Posse.
As for her accessories, the With Love, Meghan star stacked her usual gold Love bracelet and Tank Française watch from Cartier on her wrist, while also popping on some Bossy Round AF sunglasses from Balenciaga. Finally, for a bit of pattern, she held her hair back with a wide tortoiseshell headband from J.Crew (a move she may have borrowed from none other than Carolyn Bessette Kennedy).
In the world of Meghan, everything really is just peaches raspberries and cream—and no spills.
